Timmons Chapel, Pittsburg, KS

I am trying to take some time for myself once a week when I get away from everything and everybody and just enjoy.   This week I spent my time at the Timmons Chapel in Pittsburg, KS.   If you have never visited this Chapel you really must go - it is a beautiful creation.   The peace I experienced on the grounds was lovely.   The Chapel sits in front of a "Lake" on Pittsburg State University Campus.  There are flagstone paths and bridges that take you to a bronze statute of a Ming Horse.   The Chapel has a lot of imported materials from Europe in it's construction.  The one specific item that caught my interest was the roof.   It is totally made up of flat stone tiles.  Really incredible when you think about it!  I hope you enjoy my pictures!
